Guest and account entry belong to the game

Guest entry was available in the original v0.7.1 welcome flow. The Field Guide itself requires no login. If you already have game progress, use the original game account or existing Guest session associated with it.

The Lab planner is separate from game accounts: it does not ask for credentials or read a save. A fresh Guest is a new starting context, not a save-recovery step.

A short checklist for returning players

The purpose is continuity, not a promise that every device shares progress automatically. When switching from the embedded window to the original tab, verify what the game actually shows. Browser contexts and the project’s own account rules determine the result.

  1. Use the original browser profile where you last played.
  2. Read the account or Guest information shown by the game before starting.
  3. Check your visible partner availability and progress against what you remember.
  4. If something differs, preserve the current session and record the difference before creating another profile.

The planner works without game credentials

Enter a balance and upgrade costs manually. The calculator performs arithmetic on those inputs and may remember the plan in this site’s browser storage. It does not ask for a game password, read your League or check whether a purchase is unlocked.

The browser’s same-origin policy limits direct access between this independent page and the original game. There is no automatic balance sync behind the form. If you buy an upgrade or receive a reward, edit the relevant number yourself.

Use the Lab planner

Use the right help route

For an account problem, use the original project’s own account or support options. For a wrong calculation, first check the numbers entered and whether every cost is known. For a missing remembered planner, check whether you changed browser context or cleared this site’s storage.

Keeping these tasks separate makes the next action clearer. This wiki can explain its own tool, while only the game project can address the state of a game account.

PokeBonk login or Guest: check your existing session first

If you have played PokeBonk before, inspect the identity and progress already shown by the original game before creating a new Guest. Return through the same browser profile when possible and compare your available League members and visible balance. Creating a fresh Guest is a new starting context, not a recovery action. The Field Guide does not ask for your PokeBonk account password.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a PokeBonk account to use the calculator?

No. The guide and calculator work without a game login. Game account and Guest choices remain inside the original PokeBonk interface.
